Keep the brush roll clean

Brush bar care

There is a rotating brush bar fitted underneath the cleaner that sweeps up dirt from the floor. If the bristles become clogged with debris the cleaner will not pick up efficiently. To remove the brush and clean it simply use a flat blade screw driver to turn the lock to the 'open padlock' setting and lift the red catch out. Now pull the brush out and carefully remove any debris tangled around the bristles. Re fit and place the securing catch back in place and lock it by turning the catch to the 'locked padlock' setting.

For best results we advise that you replace the brush bar once per year or if the brushes look worn or the bristles have fallen out. New brushes can be purchased from the spares section of our website.

Remove and clean the brush

There is a brush roll in the main cleaning head which spins round sweeping your floors. It is possible that hair, threads and debris may get tangled around the brush and stop it working efficiently. Regular checks should be made and its easy to remove the brush for cleaning. Simply turn the brush head over and slide outwards the retaining bar as shown.

Now lift the brush out at an angle as shown here

Pick off any hair or debris you may find tangled around the bristles, also clean away any obstructions in the body of the brush head. Brushes do wear over time and we recommend you fit new brushes once per year to keep your cleaner working efficiently. You can purchase your replacement brushes from the spares section of our website.

The brush can be removed and cleaned

Regularly have a look at the brush roll in the foot of the cleaner. It will work much better if it is clean and rotating freely. Remove any hair and thread trapped around the brush. There is no belt in this product.

Use a flat blade screwdriver to twist the locking peg to the 'open' padlock symbol. The securing bar can now be removed and the brush roll taken out and cleaned.
