Tilt the machine forward, the rating plate sticker at the bottom of the machine will have the details required. The information usually required by our customer service team are the model number which is 8 digits long (beginning with a 3), and the serial number which is 16 digits long.

Unplug the product, check around the brush roll area to see if carpet fibre or other objects are rattling around the base.

Select a higher setting for the height of the brushes.

Clean the exhaust filter. This is released by the taking off the rear panel located at the back of the machine.

Change to another 13amp fuse.

Clean the pre-motor filter situated below the paper bag.

Change the brush roll and or drive belt, remove the hood screws, which are situated adjacent to the rear wheels (see fig. 1).

Lift the hood off (fig.2).

Change the drive belt even if it is not broken, because they do stretch with time. Before changing the belt roll the brush to see if it rotates easily. If it is stiff to rotate or the bristles are thinned out or damaged then change the brush roll as well (fig 3).

Remove the collection canister dismantle and clean all the filters as shown, the gauze filter will need brushing cleaning with a dusting brush from your product.

Clean the pre-motor filter situated below the paper bag.

Unplug the product turn the cleaner over and check aorund the brush roll area to see if there is a build up of hair or similar objects that can give off a burning smell. See section poor suction poor pick up item D for access to brush roll area
