UK I.T. Infrastructure Manager

BOLTON based (BL2 6PU)

Reporting to the UK IT Director the I.T. Infrastructure Manager is a ‘hands on’ role responsible for leading the Hoover Ltd I.T. infrastructure team consisting of three employees who are based in Reading, Bolton and Merthyr Tydfil.

Summary

The ideal candidate will provide oversight, management, and leadership of the local network administration, telephony/communications systems, hardware/software systems, information security, and the organisation’s overall technical infrastructure. The candidate will provide technical management to deliver projects/products of various scale, form, and duration in line with business priorities. They will ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet customer business specifications and support the strategic direction of the enterprise. The candidate will partner with Hoover’s IT service provider, co-workers and other members of the leadership team to deliver a top class service and fulfil the mission and values of the organisation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Based in Bolton you will manage the Company I.T. infrastructure across its 6 sites in the UK and Ireland (Bolton, Merthyr, Reading, Bromborough, Uddingston and Dublin)
  • Management of the infrastructure team, providing feedback and training as necessary, conducting performance evaluations, participating in recruitment and selection, and resolving issues within the team.
  • Establish and measure team goals for service, quality, and efficiency that align with the corporate vision, mission, and values.
  • Lead and project manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projects ensuring their successful delivery.
  • The installation, operation, maintenance and asset management of IT equipment.
  • Liaison with Hoover’s I.T. service provider to ensure that :-
    • All company IT infrastructure policies are followed and adhered to.
    • The IT Help Desk procedure is strictly followed to ensure business needs and problem resolutions are being met in a timely and efficient manner.
    • To ensure efficient and economical utilisation of equipment and resources, providing safekeeping of equipment and supplies.
    • To ensure all systems and procedures are properly documented.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Ability to travel within the UK & Ireland across the 6 Company locations
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as necessary to meet the needs of the business
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Networking - VLAN, LAN and WAN technologies
  • Telephony - VOIP, ACD call centre systems

Field Service Engineers - North West

Hoover Candy has immediate Service Engineer vacancies to cover the following areas:

  • 1 position in Macclesfield
  • 1 position in South Manchester
  • 1 position in St Helens

The basic salary package starts at £20,414.65 £29,500 OTE for Engineers outside of the London area. If you live within 25 miles (as the bird flies) of Charing Cross in London the basic salary package starts at £27,900 (including London weighting) £30,500 OTE, 33 days paid holiday.

Our Service Engineers enjoy the flexibility of working from home while organising their spare part stock and workload to ensure the efficient repair of Hoover Candy products in our customer’s home.

Our product range includes: washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigeration products and vacuum cleaners.

We welcome applications from experienced white goods or brown goods Engineers or alternatively we are interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in logical electro-mechanical fault finding in either an industrial environment or as a Field Engineer. An understanding of basic electrical principals and a grounding in mechanical principals is essential.

National Account Manager - SDA

The Hoover Candy Group is looking to further develop is successful ranges of Vacuum Cleaners and SDA products, to support continues growth that we are targeting within specific market sectors. We therefore have a permanent vacancy for a National Account Manager for our Small Domestic Appliance Division.

The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Director, and will be primarily selling into the DIY retailers and National Discounters while also working on new Business Development opportunities at head office level with Senior Buyers. This role will initially be focused on account management to maximise on existing relationships as well as new business development in exploring additionally winning new accounts that are suited to our product portfolio. The successful candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder, with the ability to sell our full range of products from entry level to more premium offerings. We need a tenacious individual who is seeking an opportunity to develop themselves within a challenging environment.

  • Must have a strong track record in sales.
  • Experience of handling some of the following would be preferred; Amazon, Co-Op, DRL, Littlewoods, Robert Dyas, B&Q, Homebase, B&M Bargain, Factory Shop.
  • Success in either newly opened accounts, or successfully increased volume/product listings by negotiation.
  • Candidate must be able to overcome obstacles and be determined to succeed.

Inside Sales Account Manager

READING

Hoover is one of the most trusted kitchen brands in the UK and has ambitious plans for the future. The Company is now looking to grow its Baumatic Division by expanding the Inside Sales team who currently sell to existing retailers and generate potential new customers by cold-calling.

The successful candidate will be highly outgoing, enjoy building long-lasting relationships where trust is a vital component and constantly looking for the next sale or customer to talk to. This is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate a minimum of two years business to business selling, either in the field or over the phone.

With over 500 staff in the UK, the career prospects are excellent, and should lead to a Field Sales role within two years for an ambitious achiever.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties;

  • Schedule activity around calling existing customers with promotions.
  • Build relationships with new customers, many who will have bought from another Division of the Company.
  • Maintain contact with existing customers to ensure a strong level of customer care routine is established and maintained.
  • Accept orders, close sales, maintain customer’s records and complete required documentation.
  • Conduct telephone conversations to identify and qualify prospective customers and record sales prospecting activity.

This role will initially be focused on account management to maximise on existing relationships, whilst winning and developing new accounts.
