Remove and clean the filter once per month

Remove the dust cup by pressing the latch and lift it off the cleaner. Twist the top anti clockwise to remove it. Located inside the lid is the filter, remove and dust it clean. For best results wash the filter in warm water and allow to dry thoroughly before putting it all back together. Hoover recommend that you replace the filters once per year and new ones can be purchased from the spares section on this website.
