Check the pump filter
We all forget to check our pockets from time to time before loading clothes into the washer. Coins and keys may then get out of the pocket and find their way into the drain pump. They then interfere with the working part of the pump and make a loud noise when the machine spins or empties water out!
Hoover have designed the machine with this in mind and the drain pump filter is accessible for you to easily remove any foreign objects. The filter flap is found at the bottom left hand side of the front of the cabinet.
Clean away any debris tangled around the filter and look inside the body of the pump for any foreign objects such as keys and coins and remove them.
Now dry out the pump chamber and filter cartridge with a cloth, screw the cartridge back into the body of the pump by twisting it clockwise until it is tight.
Try the machine again. If it is still noisy contact us to arrange a visit by a service engineer.
