Separate stainless steel and silver cutlery

If you have a mixture of stainless steel and silver cutlery try to make sure that you keep them apart from each other in the dishwasher. Should they touch during the dishwasher cycle, then the detergent may have the effect of making a black mark at the place where they came in contact.
