To keep your cleaner giving the best suction power and picking up efficiently we recommend that you empty the dust box when it is 2/3 full. Also cleaning the 2 filters once a week and washing them once per month is necessary to keep the cleaner working effectively. Hoover recommend that you replace the filters once per year and you can purchase these from the spares section of our website.

Remove the dust box and take it to your dust bin, press the flap release trigger and empty it out as shown

Twist the lid off to get to the filter and foam pad. For best results wash this filter in warm water and make sure it is thoroughly dry before you pop it back together.

Now take the cyclonic unit out and remove any debris collected. The dust box and cyclone can be washed in warm water but again ensure that they are dry before re assembly.

The second filter is at the back of the cleaner. Unclip the cover and take out the filter for cleaning. This also may be washed in warm water. Once dry re assemble every thing and you have successfully maintained your cleaner!

to maintain the belt and brushes, turn the cleaner over and use a standard Phillips screwdriver to remove the 6 screws holding the brush cover on lift off the cover to get to the belt and brushes

Loop the other end of the belt over the brush roll and stretch it to fit the brush back into the base. Re fit the cover and your cleaner is fully maintained!

Open the bag door and take out the dust box. Twist the lid at the top and remove the filters and cones. Tip the dirt out into your dustbin. Wash the filters shown in warm water.

We recommend that the belt is changed once per year. The brushes can also be replaced if the bristles have worn away. Remove the cover as shown

pull the height adjuster knob and take the hose out in order to lift the cover off - the belt and brush roll can then be replaced.

Fit the brush roll and belt and then pull the belt over the motor spindle. Turn the brush by hand to make sure nothing is jammed. Re fit the cover and you have completed the maintenance of your cleaner

Take the dust box off and empty it out over your dustbin, press the latch to release the flap at the bottom of the container. Twist the top of the container to remove it and get to the pre motor filter.

Your cleaner has brushes that sweep the dirt up from the carpet and these are underneath the cleaner. To replace them start by removing the bottom cover.

Use a standard Phillips screwdriver to undo the securing screws and then lift off the cover

Remove the belt and brush and fit new ones - loop the belt around the motor spindle, then loop over the brush and stretch into place. Before you fit the cover give the brush a turn by hand to make sure that the new belt is not jammed.

Finally secure the base back on with the screws. You have now maintained your vacuum cleaner

To get the very best suction power and good cleaning results we recommend that you empty the dust box when it is 2/3 full. There are 2 sets of filters in your cleaner and they should be cleaned on a weekly basis and replaced once per year. Replacements can be purchased from the spares section of our website. Start by taking the dust container off the cleaner, place it over your dust bin or a bin bag and press the release trigger to empty out the dirt as shown.

Twist the lid until the arrows line up and open up the container to get to the hepa filter. Take the filter out and brush the dirt out, once a month wash the filter in warm water. Please make sure it is thoroughly dry before popping it back in - this may take around 24 hours. For best results from your cleaner we recommend you replace the filter at least after a year's use.

When all the filters are dry pop them back in, put every thing back together and you have now maintained your cleaner!

There are 2 filters in your cleaner, by regularly cleaning them you can keep the product giving you the best suction power possible and picking up efficiently. The first filter is found underneath the paper bag. Open the bag door, remove the bag and it is located in the cleaner as shown here:

The second filter is found at the back of the cleaner. Pull down on the clip and take out the filter for cleaning. On some models the filter is separate from the cover, on others it is attached or 'sewn in' to the cover.

Filters can be cleaned by dusting them out at least once per month, for best results wash them in warm water but be sure to ensure they are thoroughly dry before popping them back in the cleaner. This can take up to 24 hours. In addition to this to get the very best performance from the cleaner Hoover recommend that you replace the filters once per year. Brush the dust out of the filter or for best results wash it out under warm water. Please ensure that it is thoroughly dry before you pop it back into the cleaner. The second filter is found at the top of the product. Un clip the cover and clean in the same way.
